Hello and welcome to this update and notification on the release of the next track ‘This World’ for Intercontinental Man, the upcoming EP from The Voros Collective.

I had planned to get this out earlier, however I had a bit of a problem. The audio recording went smoothly, but it proved to be a bit of nightmare in the final stages of the video production.

This time round I saved my original video footage in a different format and my video editing program happily recognised and accepted these. All good! So, I thought. When it came to producing the video, it kept crashing. I eventually cottoned on to what the problem was and had to re-import and re-edit all the original footage I filmed. All good! Then another disaster! The project file that I had re-edited disappeared into cyberspace. I clicked on the Backup, and it was an older file with none of the new edits. How this happened I’m still scratching my head. So, I had to start again. Third time lucky! I’m no Steven Spielberg but let me assure you that producing a video takes a lot of time and effort. I always try to make these videos as interesting and entertaining as my limited skills allow (The pictures you see here are various snapshots taken from the video).

So, here it is! My initial aim for this track was to do it as a complete solo effort, which is exactly what I’ve done. I played everything on it and sing as well. It’s a little different to what has gone before and is inspired by Phil Collins, even though it may not blatantly sound so. I’m not going to let on what/where the main PC influence came from. Perhaps you can spot it? My wife Lynne (who some of you will know) and who is my most blunt and honest critic has called this a masterpiece. Well, I’m not sure if I quite agree with that, but I am pretty happy with the final result.

This song deals with the chaos that is currently surrounding us in the world. Yes, there is a negative element, but the overall message is one of positivity and hope. I hope this resonates with you and also the musical aspect conveyed here. I had some fun on a completely improvised drum solo aside from the rest of the track.

In closing and as I’ve mentioned before, trying to get new music noticed is not the easiest thing to do. So if you like this song, I would appreciate it greatly if you would share it on your social media channel/s and with anyone whom you think will enjoy this.
