JASON GREEN - Acoustic and electric bass guitars.

Jason started playing bass in 1990 because he was the last
member to arrive at his bands first rehearsal and was told
he was playing bass. Even though his introduction to the instrument
was unexpected, nothing prepared him for the incredible feeling
driving a band from the middle gave him... and still does.
After private studies with Pat Smith, Jason enrolled at the
Pretoria Technikons Light music Department where he
studied bass with Mark Duby. On graduating the course he pursued
both playing and teaching careers. On the performance front
he has played with Nataniel and Daniel Pascal on double bass,
and on electric bass performed with Steve Hofmeyer, Nianell,
Louis Britts, Jonathan Crossley, Johnny Fourie, Lindsay Mcguire,
R.J. Benjamin, Patricia Lewis and many others.
He performed on the TV show Noot vir Noot from
2003 to 2009 and recorded the shows CD. On the teaching front
he has taught Bass, Theory and History of Music Business at
the National School of the Arts from 1997-2003. From 2004
at The Campus Of Performing Arts he has taught Bass, Theory,
Culture and Music Business as well as overseeing the Live
Performance Workshops.
Jason currently endorses Lakland Bass guitars and Markbass
Bass amps and effects.
MARIUS MARAIS -- PIano and keyboards

Marius started his musical career in the late 70’s touring the country with various Afrikaans artists. He joined well known cover band Streetalk in the mid 80’s and towards ’89 became a member of the Wendy Oldfield Band. After a very successful five year stint the band went separate ways and Marius joined cult rock n’ rollers The Diamond Dogs. He performed with them for approximately two years, after which he started his own band Flatline. This unit was successful on the pub and corporate circuit for six years, thereafter splitting up due to different business related issues.
Marius then decided to go freelance and performed with many different artists including Dan Patlanksy, Mike Slavin and the Blues Train, Strangebrew, George Worthmore (USA), Miriam King (Norway) and many more.
He then spent six weeks in the USA where he performed in New Orleans, Miami and Florida with as he says “amazingly talented musicians”. From there he went on to play in Frankfurt and London. A three-year stint then followed with one of South Africa’s most successful bands - Mean Mr. Mustard. His tenure with the band came to an end due to personal business related matters.
Marius endorses Yamaha keyboard equipment and is currently working on a solo album. He has started freelancing again with various bands on the local circuit.
